21歳のパレスチナ人アーティスト。2004年、ガザ生まれ。大学で医療秘書学の学位を取得し、現在は医療管理学の学位取得を目指している。タメル文化財団に4年間所属し、紙リサイクル、モザイクアート、その他の美術展を含む、数多くのワークショップや美術講座に参加。実践を通して新たな芸術技法の探求と発見を続けている。

A collection of twelve poems by Roba Al-Sharif, a 17-year-old poet in Gaza featuring her brilliant emotional expression. The beautiful and powerful drawings accompanying each poem are by Hadeel Al-Sousi, a 21-year-old artist based in Gaza.
This book is not only an excellent work of art, but also a form of striking documentation of ongoing genocide by two artists who born and raised in occupied Palestine. While death, separation and absence are experienced as an everyday reality, these poems and illustrations vividly express the love for their people and land and the desire to pursue freedom. Even in extreme circumstances where justice is lost, they are filled with passion to continue creating messages as artists and to live without ever losing humanity.

gather the shattered fragments of your dead
To souls killed by your sanguinary impulse
And to an imaginary beloved whom I called salvation,
He became the banks, and I became the drowned.
If you loved me for a fleeting instant, O homeland,

I write beneath the burning sky of Gaza’s war —
for the pen must not be taken from us as the land was.
Perhaps a poem may touch a heart,
or kindle a small flame in this vast darkness.
Where the reader finds themselves in the first line,
and wishes never to leave the last.

I am 21 years old, born on 2004 in Gaza, Palestine.
I graduated from university with a degree in Medical Secretarial Studies and am currently pursuing a degree in Health Administration. I have been a member of the Tamer Cultural Foundation for 4 years. I have participated in several workshops and art courses, including paper recycling, mosaic art, and other art exhibitions. I continue to explore and discover new techniques through my artistic practice.
